Hey guys,

Should I get two 780ti's?

I have been reading here and there, I cannot make a decision whether I should get two 780 ti's now or wait until next gen cards come out.

I know its hard to say how well a 780ti will compare against future gen cards, but how long do you think I will last with two 780 ti's?

Should or shouldn't I wait for next gen?

Any relevant information will be appreciated as this has been bugging me for the past few weeks.

Cheers
Eddyyz

If money is no issue then do the 780ti. You will last well into not the next generation but the generation after that with 2 780tis. That being said if you want to do 4k in the future it may need to be replaced sooner. But look at the duel card cards from red and green the 590 and 6990 are still quite usable.

If you can, then wait and get single most powerful gpu. Like a 880 or 880ti whatever the top card will be.

It has around twice performance per watt and around 30% per core perf increase. And on top of that maxwell cards are great overclockers. 750ti doesnt even need 6 pin and it overclocks like crazy

That's the problem, how long must I wait for them to release? - I waited for the 700 series and then was told the 800 series are not far around the corner.

we dont know when the release is :P i said if you want, and if you can, wait. how long? well if you can find the release order ( from low end to high end or reverse ) then you can at least know how much longer you have to wait.

Ya u are definitely gonna benefit from 780Ti sli for that resolution but still i would say wait until may....i think the higher end 800 series like 870 880 will be out or atleast some info about the price as well as performance will be declared...so atleast 2 months u can wait... :)

Then wait for the 900 series, I've read they're gonna be good, or keep waiting more because it's non-stop... that's tech industries for you.
