Windows Update Causing Thermal Throttling

Hi all, so I was just downloading the most recent Windows 10 insider update and I noticed that it has been causing my CPU to throttle not only in windows, but also in the BIOS. I’ve reduced the issue to be caused most likely by this update (which I was unable to complete, as it glitched out) and I’m unsure what to do. The PC eventually gets so hot it shuts down automatically which bars me from reinstalling Windows. I really don’t know what to do.

Windows update can’t meddle with your BIOS. An update also can’t overheat your processor. If there’s an issue with overheating, it’s with your cooling.

 

Are you actually hitting thermal limits? What are the temperatures?
