I need help i've upgraded my pc to ryzen 5600x from intel 3570 and i got the tomahawk motherborad but the boot is stuck at preparing automatic update for some reason

Yes because you changed the cpu/motherboard so it has to repair the installation.

I suggest you do fresh install if this doesn't go through.

I did this many times, there never was a repair screen or similar... this looks more to me like the motherboard freaking out... is this even a windows message? it could be but it definitely looks weird, and should happen imo. 

 

still, I agree probably best to wait it out if it does anything... (not sure for how long I'd wait tho) 

 

 

PS: Oh, it's likely the cpu just isn't compatible, probably motherboard needs a bios update!

You did that many times probably from Intel to Intel.

The bios is working, if not you won't even boot it up.
