im not looking for the case size. im looking for the size of the magnetic disks in the HDD

this can vary between drives, do you have a exact model in mind?

 

ALso can you measure the size in your drive? They normally don't list the spec.

3 11/16 inches in an old 500GB Western Digital I took apart and have sitting on a shelf.
