New PC.

Hi guys. I'm planning to build a new PC at year end with a budget of about $1200 for the while thing. Looking for some suggestions on parts. I've got a tentative plan but wondering whether there's any better ones. Mainly looking for best performance.

Are you shopping in the US? What games do you like to play? Is i primarily for gaming or also editing?

EDIT: Welcome to the forum! For future reference, this topic should be in the forum section called "New builds and planning" :)

do you have a monitor or not?
like what parts that you already have
best of the best is always Intel and Nvidia combo

At the end of the year? You should actually wait until like October to start picking out parts for a build. Or you can get a list and update it as time goes by

Intel and AMD is just as good combo.

Your fanboyism hertz too much. There are AMD/AMD builds that can leave intel/nvidia builds in the dust.

I've got the peripherals already so I'm just looking for the actual PC. Currently I'm using an intel i5 750, ATI Radeon HD 5000 series, 4GB of some ram (can't remember). I'm kinda looking for a completely new PC, not upgrades to the current one

Really? Now it depends on what intel/amd processors we are talking about. An FX-9590 OC'd to 5.3ish Ghz can over power a i5-4670k at 4ghz. a i5-4670k and a R9-290x is a great combo for gaming.

I already had that build in my pcpartpicker from recommending it to someone beforehand xD

There are things that could be changed. The case is subjective, so that's really up to you. The Hyper 212 EVO is a good GPU cooler as well, and there are some cheaper 120GB SSDs (Like, $5 cheaper)

That would go way over his budget. 120GB is fine for boot drive, so it's better to spend the money on a more powerful GPU rather than a larger SSD

over the time i ran out of storage on my 500gb hdd

my pc started slowing down

takes a few seconds to go in a hd movie from the start to the half of it

that is sort of true although your profile says  I KNOW NOTHING! :D

Well, for a price to performance AMD kills Nvidia and Intel builds any day of the week. not for clock speed but in multi-threaded applications, most games now. And OpenCL support, something most games are starting to go to to be on SteamBoxes.
