HELP Bios problems?

SomeGuyNamedSean

My pc is build and it will turn on and everything seems to work but my screen says DVI no sginal.

So I did some research and some of the suggetion was to check pcpartpicker. these 2 foto's are the results.

This got me worried and I don't know how to fix it:

  •  Warning! Some AMD X570 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

My previous pc has intel so I can't excange chips for it do a bios update.

any help or suggestion is appriciated!!!

That MB has BIOS flash button.

Never used that option, but probably you can flash from USB (maybe needs formatted FAT32) the BIOS file.

So I download that on a stick and then put it in a usb port and then it should magically boot? if I understand correct?

There's a site that probably is probably more informative:

https://glennsqlperformance.com/2020/11/09/flashing-your-bios-with-no-cpu-installed/

And video from there.

Though the BIOS file you have to find from homepage yourself, as the model in the video is not the same, but the method is the same.

@SomeGuyNamedSean, please try to post into correct subforum. Most of your threads seem to be posted in General Discussion, and maybe one of those is fine to be left there.

It says without a cpu, that does not mean I have to remove my cpu right?

Yes, it's better to remove the CPU and flash then I think.

Not sure if flashing will go fine with newer CPU installed.
Though you probably could test if it interferes with the procedure if you have the CPU already installed.

Also the video I linked also specifies the USB slot has to be certain one to plug USB stick in.
