Dram size is half but dimms are detected

I have an msi b350 gaming plus with a R5 2600 and 2 4gb hyper x sticks of ram, the bios detects only half as dram while detecting the dimms correctly, what could I do?

It doesn't matter if I use slots a1 and b1 or  a2 and b2, when it's dual channel it gets only half
