Ram suggestion for 1660 Super

OK, I bought a pre-built that I want to slowly upgrade and it came with a single stick of TForce VulcanZ ram in 3000mhz 8gb. I mostly play games like WOW, SWTOR a bunch of FPS games and I do photo editing. My components are an I5 10400F, B460 Extreme, 1660 Super. Im wondering what I should do. Will 16GB of ram work well enough for my games and editing or should I go 32GB? Also what ram should I put in? 4 vs 2? What are your thoughts?

As far as I know, you don't need more than 16 GB for games yet.

Under normal conditions you don't even fill 8 GB, unless you open like 200 browser tabs.

So 16 GB should be fine.

If your motherboard has 4 slots and supports dual channel RAM, you should go for 2x 8GB, so 16 GB in total.
This way you take advantage of the dual channel by using 2 RAM slots at the same time. Also  2x8 GB is cheaper than 4x4 GB. And you will still have 2 slots to upgrade your RAM to 32 GB in the future.
