32:9 screen VS 2*16:9 screen

Hello,

i'm about to buy new monitors but i don't know if a 32:9 is worth the 200€ difference from 2 16:9 screen side to side.

I have a budget of about 1k for the screens and i found a samsung 32:9 ( equivalent of 2*27 inch ) for about 900€ in my country and it is 200€ more than two regular 16:9 screens.

 

What should i get ?

Do you game?  Work?  What do you use them for?  

 

1 monitor is great for gaming, or 2 are great for productivity.

 

My buddy loves his 32:9, and I love my 21:9.  We each occasionally work on them, but I always prefer 2 dedicated screens (or more) for my actual job.

 

But if you game... oh yeah

Well you'll have a wider gaming monitor, without a bezel in the centre of the screen.

I am mainly working and sometime playing ( mostly simracing ) i'm an automation engineer so i need at least two screens.

So if you race... 2 screens with a bezel in the middle... gonna suck.  Either get 3 screens or the ultrawide IMO.

I think i will go with the 32:9, i saw that because of the two hdmi you can use it like it's a double monitor but without a bezel.

Considering it's a double 1440p 120hz monitor, do you thing my 1070 will hold the load (considering i don't play that much and i'm 90% of the time on CAD software and word) or i should also get a nvidia 30 series ?

If you're going 32:9 1440p.... I'd get something stronger than a 1070.  2080 Super or better.
