Not exactly. It depends on what you do. The single core speeds are higher but it's the same architecture, so you might only see very small fps increases. if your i5 6500 is being used over 90%, then you might see a bigger increase in fps.

You will get lower CPU usage than i5-6500 percentage wise speaking, but overall, more of the CPU will be utilized. You gain fps by having higher CPU usage.

Yes, you will get more fps. CPU usage would depend on how the game was written in terms of code. That depends on the game in question but the single threaded performance on the 6700k is miles ahead of the 6500. Meaning even if the game does not utilize all cores, it would still be a much better experience than with the core i5 part.

If you have an application (games won't benefit much from it) that can utilize more than 4 cores, the extra threads will improve upon latency in processing data and thus speeding up the process overall. The benefit depends on the application and task in question. In general, more physical cores are better but having the extra 4 virtual cores can be useful at times.

If you want to know more about hyper threading, there are plenty of videos explaining it in detail.

6500k does not exist. He might be talking bout a 6700k.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
