So ive been streaming on console for a while and got then built a pc but I cannot decide which card to get. Im playing 1440p 165hz in all my games and I want to stream in 1080p60 (even 720p60 is enough). I wont be playing insanely realistic games like Cyberpunk. My main game is Rainbow Six Siege so should i get a 3080 or a 3070. I was plannin gon getting the 3080 regardless before they bumped up the price to $1k. So should I save up the extra money or just get a 3070 when I can?

The prices on the 3080 didn't quite go to $1k.  The Gigabyte Gaming OC that I bought was $749, and is now $799.  Many look like the prices went up around $50 or so due to tariffs on imports from China.  The 3080 would still be the better buy.  Never know where your streaming desires will go in the future.  Might as well have the hardware to play anything.

3070 should be enough for R6S and if don't plan to play more demanding games like cyberpunk, ac valhalla, watch dogs legions, warzone, cold war, rdr2 etc. in near future, i would say, go for it.

I wanna play 1440p and stream same time tho
