New Mouse, Suggestions needed.

Go to solution Solved by Phage,

mionix mouses are nice :) they have a quality build

So my Rog GX 1000´s Mouse wheel broke (weak design if you ask me) but i love the mouse anyway, its a great Claw mouse however, the store that sold it stoped selling it so they gave me an option to take another mouse.
Anyone got any suggestions on something similar?

Just a heads up, i already have a RAT 7 but its on my other PC and im using it as a backup mostly.
Also i want a Claw mouse,
I semi Palm the RAT (sometimes claw) and Claw the GX1000 due to it´s design.

Important: 2-3 side buttons, if possible 3
a Good and strong Mouse wheel that wont break in 6 months :P
Wired.

Here is a list of options i can choice from

@JelleDekkers i´m looking at the M65 due to that extra button :P looks abit Palmy but otherwise not bad.

@Phage Nice design, I´m looking at the Naos 8200 and AVIOR 8200. The AVIOR looks more Clawy compaird to the Naos so might go with that if ill pick a MIONIX

But for now keep the suggestions coming :D

I'll second that corsair mouse. The design is perfect for a hybrid grip like mine, I sort of hover in between claw and palm depending on circumstances. I have the M65 and I think it'll do the job just perfectly

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Question regarding the mouse wheel, is it a plastic or metal pin that is holding it up? my GX 1000 had a plastic one thus it broke :(

You can se the little plastic pin here

I don't know, i think metal, it's very tactile.

Edit: i found a picture online and it's plastic.

But that was an M95

It's a very sturdy wheel with a chunky action. Can't tell what material is under there but it's definitely sturdy.

Maan it´s not easy to pick, and it seems ALL mouses uses a damn Plastic pin to keep the wheel up.

M65 (white) seems sturdy but abit palmy due to the fat front and slim back
Taipan seems to be OK design wise and it got the buttons i need, although i´d love a 3:rd one. (i dont like that logo but meh)
AVIOR 8200 seems good too, very much like the Taipan, bigger buttons but a smaller Scroll wheel :(

Not going to buy list:

Deathadder 2013: Lacks DPI switches, otherwise its seems like a nice mouse.
Ouroboros: out of stock, and wireless, i know i can just keep it plugged in but ....yeah cost extra for a feature i wont use so no deal.
Mionix Naos 8200: Love the design but in the end its a palmer.
RAT series mouses: Already own one and there are reason why i don't want another one. (and i semi palm it)
G400: The scroll wheel puts me off and the DPI buttons(?) are in a weird location. it looks to small for my hands.

Logitech g602. Best mouse I have ever used, and that includes every Razer mouse, some Mionnix, some Steelseries, and all the Rat mice lineup.

Love the size, ergonomics, button layout and feel, battery life, response time (feels like wired), build quality, and the optical sensor. I know people complain about the low dpi, but to be honest, I have the dpi turned down (I think around 1500).

Try it for yourself.

EDIT: just saw you made up your mind already. Mionix or The Corsair m95 would probably be my second choice. Can't really go wrong with them either. I will say that I will never own another Rat or Razer product again though.

Alright i made up my mind and ill go with the Minoix AVIOR 8200.

Thanks for all the suggestions people!

If you haven't bought it yet, rather get the Avior 7000! Better sensor!

dang, sadly too late. :( how bad is the difference? is it like Wireless vs Wired? what are the noticeable problems i might encounter.

I might be able to trade it for a different if i don't open the box, but i just notice they are out of stock :P

It's just that the 7000 has an optical sensor which has no acceleration or prediction, but if you don't play at like 400/800 CPI, you won't notice it

CPI is the technical term for it. Engineers say CPI, and Steelseries says CPI instead of DPI. CPI = DPI, same thing, different name. Basicly, the sensor in the Avior 7000 offers zero acceleration, which means that the cursor goes exactly where you want it to everytime, and doesn't accelerate by 5%. Lack of prediction just means that it won't try to correct and predict your mouse movements. Mice with prediction will make straight lines when you draw a line, which is something you don't want in FPS games.

oh, so why did they change the laser? any clue?

Ok i gave the mouse a try, and i cant seem to notice anything unusualy, not even at 400-500-700 CPI. there is an option however for "point acceleration" in the software that is OFF by default.

Yes, but there's acceleration in the hardware that you can't remove. The Avior 7000 is optical. They wanted to make a as close to perfect version as possible of their two main mice.
