Download problem

Can anybody explain how this works with a 1 Gbit connection?
Speedtest says that i have full speed (just 1% under 1 Gbit) 

i need help because in other forums i cant find any help or information about that

2 things:

1) Steam displays (by default) in bytes, not bits. Internet is referenced in bits. Your max speed of ~55MB/s is around 440Mbps, not amazing but:

2) Depending on the steam server load and your location you can be bottlenecked by other factors such as the local steam server not being able to serve all the connections at once at full speed.

You also seem to be having disk write issues, what are you storing your games on? A local drive? NAS? etc.

Yeah, you won't really see almost 1Gbps speeds anywhere outside speed tests mostly
I have 1Gbps and most I've got in a Steam download was around 65MB/s (520Mbps)

Also Steam usually compresses games and the client decompresses them as it downloads, so the processing power available will also affect it

The sad thing is sometime I can download 25gb games with 100M/bs at once without problems but that is 1 out of 100 downloads.

And that's suspicious.

I have nothing to add to your actual question.  Just wanted to opine that Steam is...weird...in other languages.  It's a mélange of your language of choice and English.  Shop, Community, and Download are all in English....why?!?
