Using x6 cable splitter for lesser number of fans?

I was wondering about the impact of the remaining wires that are unconnected,

Will it matter? (current leak? etc..)

or do i need (or will it be better) to use a 2 fan splitter for two fans?

(i currently only have x6 cable splitter)

current leak???  a wiring harness isn't a semiconductor or capacitor, unless the insulation is damaged and its  shorting out, current leakage isn't a concern.

its wont make any difference unless the device you plug the splitter into cannot handle the combined amperage of the fans plugged into the harness.

(i just that word for lack of a better term ^^)

so the extra unused connections do not matter and  i can just fold it away.
