Budget (including currency): I'd like the components alone to be under 1,000 freedom units but my build in pc part picker is already over that and this build is more of an, I want to build this in the next couple of years type of build so I'm fine with it being over as long as it doesn't cross 1500

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: The build wont have to do everything but I want it to have a good upgrade path.

A large majority of games being able to run on high or even ultra at 60 fps, VR, Run a game server like tf2 or Minecraft, Mine bitcoin when not in use (more in other), Krita, Light video editing, Streaming in the background of games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm trying to build my rig and I'm looking to see if I can find better parts than I already put together in pc part picker

PCPartPicker Part List

Here's some important things I'm looking for in parts:

Efficiency. I wont be using this machine everyday because of how little I'm home so a lot of the time it will just be a power waster and making Co2 emissions for nothing in return, I want to combat this by getting solar panels off amazon and powering it through clean energy. To keep the costs of the solar panels down I want to get it under 200 watts if I can, I don't know if that's possible for what I want though. Adding clean energy will also help because I'll be able to bitcoin mine when the machine isn't running a server or gaming for free. It being more efficient will also help with noise

An upgrade path. I don't want to finish my shiny new rig for it to only last two or three years I want to squeeze as much time as possible out of it

Overclocking capability if I ever upgrade my power source

Bonuses:

VR support for tethered headsets like the index

On board Wi-Fi

Sorry if its too much to ask for and thank you in advance

Wait a couple months for stock and you will be Golden.

You should consider Ryzen 3000 or 5000 series not Intel 10th gen then

Thank you for the help I really appreciate it! After looking at the specs on all of intel's 10th gen cpu's and Ryzen's 5000 series Ryzen is defiantly the way to go. After your suggestions I'm going with a Ryzen 5600X because of its minimal power draw.

thank you downkey for suggesting the Ryzen 5600X. Thank you cm992 for getting me to look more into Ryzen and thank you Dom for saving me money on a copy of windows although I don't really trust the ebay sellers.

I'll post when I put together another list of parts.

Np. Try to quote us next time, otherwise we won't get the notification. Also you will probably have to wait a couple months for stock.

I downgraded the 3080 back to a 3060 ti because of the lower power consumption and in the interest of saving costs, I can upgrade down the line if I need to. Because of the savings on the gpu I can buy a better motherboard and power supply. I upgraded the Gold efficiency to titanium, I thought about going with the 600 watt version of the power supply I chose but decided to go with the 700 watt because it was only 17 usd extra and why not. The motherboard has a X570 chipset so ill need to update the bios. Luckily I found a good deal on a 2200g for only 50 usd aftermarket. I went with Samsung on the m.2 because they focus on ssd's specifically (not really much of a reason but meh). Finally the ram, I'll probably be replacing it with something different but the main reason I chose it was because I saw it in Linus's efficient build.

the wattage was cut down to about 395 watts at base clocks and I'm pretty sure I could get it under 200 when underclocking since Linus's efficiency build consumes 360 watts at base and they got their machine down to about 110 watts

I'm pretty happy with the specs and efficiency but I want make sure I'm not being stupid with the parts I changed

Why not B550? X570 is expensive and isn't worth it.
With the PSU I gave you, you couldve ran a 3080.
That CPU cooler isn't worth it. You could spend that money on a better GPU.
That RAM is worse than the one I gave you earlier.

With the possible savings you could've gone with (getting rid of the cooler, going with B550, cheaper RAM) You could've gone with a 3070. It still has much lower lower draw than the 3080 and will give a good performance boost over the 3060ti

I don't mean to be rude or anything but I feel like you didn't really take my advice (besides the 5600x)
