enthusiast budget option is either thermal grizzly or Arctic MX-4
If i were to choose i would go with the thermal grizzly kryonaut 1g because this thing is only around 8-10 dollars and it is high quality paste
at least this is my opinion but you should also notice a difference with the MX-4 (i recommend you get the 2019 edition of mx-4) depending on your temprature

wow thank you so much for the speedy solution just what I wanted Sorry im crindge but thats sick that the grizzly is so incredibly inexpensive (10 dollars seems to good to be true especially in these covid times).

as in "notice a diffrence" do you mean more a diffrence on the mx4 new stuff? because I saw in the free linus tech tip video that he used and liked the grizzly as you recomend to help a laptop

-- sorry earlier i forgot to quote.. thank u sm tho

-edit I'm also wondering if you would recommend using some kind of protective layer around the cpu and gpu in the laptop so as not to spill metal on it and brick the device. I'm kind of worried about it.

Don't use kyronaut or any other electrical conductive paste... generally it's meant for hardcore overclocking, and also possibly completely different temps (very low, 8C or lower) and it's simply not recommended for people with little to no experience - unless you really don't care about the hardware then give it a go I guess!

https://www.thermal-grizzly.com

check this out, they say it also and they have better suited products.

Personally I'd recommend mx4 or arctic silver (not conductive)

Basically this isn't rocket surgery lol and good thermal paste will have huge improvements over whatever you have now as simple as that. Hopefully without destroying your hardware (ie non conductive)

In terms of paste options I saw this and it looked promising and solid of a newbie. I saw some cheaper options but this looks like it is maybe enough for both the cpu and gpu? also can I save it and reapply it when it wears out again?

Thanks again for everything!! these techiular tips are fire

EDIT:

Yo I think I might attempt this I'm worried because I don't wanna brick my pc but reading this made me think again about paste options???

This same problem has been plaguing my pc for a minute
