  1. YOo dude okay I just repasted and messed it up the first few times but with the help of this forum I got it working really well. I know little and somewhere will surly come along here who knows more. most likely it’s either two things My first problem was just too much paste lol real easy to do on laptops because they are just so small in comparison and easy to fix ur just gonna have to redo or it’s the way you set the heat sink on the frame and tightened down. Again doesn’t harm your system and is easy to fix ill Also link my th

  3. Just closed this and was wondering if I should still pick it up are these generally good later in life I hear good things about all dat airflow on the back but I don’t wanna waste my mooney !! what would be a fair price also are the issues stated very daunting ? (I just repasted my other rig but I didn’t wanna waste my time if there’s something I should worry about that makes it not worth while). Thanks again for all the help guys bless y’all!!!
  4. YO sorry I’m so late to getting this dang thank you for following up!! YES it does charge well once it gets going but yeah I have seen that issue in the little cable that connects the power to the computer just inside. That’s helpful to know, I’ve seen some guides and am pretty confident I could replace that ribbon connection if I needed too def probably just going to be lazy and try the brick first as that’s what they suggested at Eluktronics (it’s a P670GR) and they said if the battery doesn’t help I can always take it back and troubleshoot other issues. I fe
  5. yeah which is why generally when it peaks its powerdraw to somewhere around those 19 volts it just powers down and only when the computer is plugged in with the brick obviously leading me to believe its th brick???
  6. I left something out in the original post it only powers down and restarts when the battery is plugged in. Is that bad for the computer? should I continue use of the computer even though I clearly have a faulty power brick??
  7. Hey Guys question, Just repasted my laptop with your guys help and it works really well thanks again. Thought it would fix a particular issue where the computer would have to "warm up" to playing games or it would simply force restart. Thought it was a issue that could be fixed by getting better cooling (repasting) but then the thermals got a lot better with only that issue persisting post repast. I think it must be the Power Brick that is faulty in my now five 4 year old laptop ;/ just ordered a new one because the computer only crashes when THE COMPUTER IS PLUGGED IN.
  8. Well Dude, Things look real positive things are alright right off the bad should I wait to boot up any games (should I let the paste "set") or is that not even necessary??? Thanks again for all the help I really appreciate it you're a king really you (and this community has taught me so many valuable things wtf. Thanks man you just made my moms day i appreciate that :} --- more bonus question computer r struggles to boot but only when the power cord with that big battery surge protector thing is plugged in. Should I replace my battery right away or is t
  9. I GOT IT ON YOO THANN YOU MY INTERNET FRIEND. one more question I took note of you saying that I needed to only do a few turns on each screw for the initial titaning down when I first put it on. Should I go back now that I have it on and screw them all on a little tighter or leave them be l?? ((Last time I think I may have tightened one down to hard and popped the other one up in the process))
  10. Is this a good amount of paste??? my friend thanks again for the tips !!!! 63340834418__FEC18490-5ADB-4608-815C-BB9400F2F8E8.MOV
  11. Wow thank you so much for this, this is exactly what I was looking for sorry I was so vague earlier I was kinna rushing lol whoops. im done cleaning is this adequate. also another major question I have is a manufacture repersentive mentioned once the paste was on the die, I need to “help it” a little by using the spreader and spreading it a little should I bother? thanks again for all the help!
