This probably will get denied. I would like to see a pop up message when creating a thread. I ask because there are so many users creating a topic in the wrong section (mostly in the general discussion) and I know that there is the report button, but I think having a message popping up saying "please make sure you're posting in the correct section is a better option. And the description under the each section I am guessing no one reads it..

For example the general discussion  "Come hang out and discuss tech related content! Please check other subforums before posting"

It would annoy regulars more, and probably wouldn't make change. It already says it pretty clearly in GD right under subforum name.

Yet there are still people who posts stuff there..I have seen users that joined the forum for a long time yet they still post in GD

I understand, but It is mostly the new users who join and including users who have been using the forum for a long time and they don't even to bother scroll down to the correct section.
