RTX 3080, Which Should I keep?

Hi everyone,

I manage to get a FE 3080 today and the EVGA - GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 ULTRA.

I am either going to cancel one of these purchases or sell it to a friend. Which is considered the better overall version? Which should I keep? I am open to overclocking the FE 3080, but if it requires higher-end cooling, then I think I'd rather just keep the base card without overclocking.

(If it is important: Primary uses would be 1440 or 4K gaming[still choosing a monitor), GameMaker Studio 2, typical programs/software, and some data analysis)

Would people mind leaving some input please.

the evga will "probably" have better binning, so it will be able to get to higher clocks at lower voltages/wattage

It depends on what you value most.

If OC headroom and quietness are more valuable, the EVGA is the better option.

If aesthetics and (probably) resale value are important, the FE is the better choice.

I love my FE, but I will admit that other models overclock better. That being said, the build quality of the 3080 FE is second to none. Seriously... the thing feels like a solid brick of metal.
