Future build thoughts?

Budget (including currency): £2500

Country: Brexit Land aka UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video/Photo Editing, Streaming and Gaming

 

Planning this for March/April (If the Stock gods are kind to us this year)

 

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 (Taken from my current build)

Motherboard: MSI B550 Tomahawk

Memory: Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) LPX 3200MHz CL 16 or 3600MHz CL 18

Storage: 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 + (1TB Sata SSD + External HDD from my current build)

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3080TI

PSU : EVGA SuperNOVA G2 850W (From my current build)

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2

Monitors: Acer Predator XB271HU 1440p 165Hz + Dell U2515H 1440p 60Hz (These monitors are from my current setup)

M+K: Logitech G600. Corsair K70 (From current build)

 

Total: £2250 (I gave the 3080TI a £1000 price tag, obviously we don't know the price yet)

 

Notes:

I usually keep my builds for 5+ years.

CPU This is the only part i'm really unsure of. I know for purely gaming picking the 5600X is a no brainer but is it enough to do the other things (Editing and streaming) i want for years to come?

PSU as mentioned i'll be using my current one which is 5 years old. I've had no issues with it and it's been kept dust free with regular cleaning so this shouldn't be a problem right?

 

Any suggestions/recommendations are welcome.

Everything besides the RAM looks great. Go for 3600mhz CL16. Other than that, it looks great!

Thanks, I'll make a note of that spec. Only listed the above ones because those are much easier to get hold of.

lpx ram also does have great cooler clearance.. well.. most of the time lol, some coolers are pretty wack

Yeah it's either going to be the Corsair LPX or Crucial Ballistix.
