Of course it is But that isn't too wrong to say it is a downgrade If you get 2500k to 5.1ghz and 4670k to 4.7-4.8ghz, i think the performance is quite similar.

just get a watercooler and get it up in DAT 5ghz

You can buy an ROG 1155 board online and that's it. There is no point if upgrading just because you want a red motherboard.
