So I am wanting to get a be however am unsure if my pc can run it well. Can’t seem to get a consistent answer. Have tried multiple tools that tell me different things. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Cpu:Ryzen 3 2200g

gpu 1650 sc ultra

16gb ram

Which VR? I use my Valve index with my 2070 and i7 9700k with no problems at all almost. Some games are gonna be poorly optimized. But I think yours will be good on low to medium graphics. That 4gb VRAM is a bit low tho.

Yeh it is a bit low tbh and Idk what headset yet. More just speculation on whether to upgrade first or not

What is your budget for a VR headset? I am pretty into VR and I know what is good and not.

Urm I was looking at some pre owned oculus rifts. Some were abt 200 and seemed alright

Rift S is a good starter VR. Not the best but decent enough. Looking at used headsets. Look for scratches on the lenses or cracks in the controllers. The cracks will mostly not affect anything other than making more vulnerable points to break even more. 200 is a decent price although there shouldn't be any damages on the lenses and or controllers. I sold my old Quest with link before I got my Index. The quest was horrendous with the link. Delays, OLED smearing disconnections and 72Hz drove me nuts. I had 2 small cracks in the left controller and 1 full through in the right. Luckily the left got replaced due to drifting in the thumb stick and the cracks of course. But the right controller got fixed by the guy I sold it to. Went off topic here but yeah. Just giving you a perspective. The quest 1 when I bought it were around 400 euros and the link was 90 euros. Got it sold for 200 euros.

  • 2 months later...

Take a look at the Quest 2, just like the rift you can connect it to your computer to play computer VR and SteamVR games, but its actually independent device with its own processor and storage, you can also use the Virtual Desktop app to play your SteamVR games wirelessly if you have a 5g Wifi Connection or you can use WiFi Direct. They start at 299 right now and comes with everything you need except for the link cable, but you can find them on amazon for like 15 to 20 dollars.
