Need help choosing between Graphics Cards

Hi!

 

I'm choosing between graphics cards for a Gaming PC build, but I'm stuck between two options, and I wasn't sure which one is the better pick.

 

Option 1: EVGA XC RTX 3060 Ti

Option 2: Gigabyte Gaming OC RX 5700 XT

 

Originally, I jumped at the chance to get the 3060 Ti, but I looked at the Core Clocks and became skeptical. The Core Clock for the 3060 Ti is 1410 MHz (with a boost clock of 1710 MHz) and the Core Clock for the 5700 XT is 1650 MHz (with a boost clock of 1905 MHz)

 

I want these parts to last for as long as they can, so that's another factor as well.

 

The other important parts in my build are:

- Ryzen 5 3600 CPU

- 2 x 8GB DDR4-3200 RAM

Comparing core clocks to completely different architectures is irrelevant, the RTX 3060 Ti is much faster than a 5700 XT.

Also because of how GPU Boost works, regardless of what their stock clock specifications are, both GPUs would actually clock similarly ranging between 1900-2000Mhz, but it's irrelevant once again, just pointing that out

I would highly recommend going to userbenchmark.com and looking around there. Some of it is oversimplified but it breaks down where each of the cards has their strengths so pick which best applies to you. Also using a bottleneck calculator could be useful but it probably doesnt matter with that cpu.

The 3060Ti is roughly equivalent to a 2080 Super and not that far off a 2080 Ti. The 5700 XT is roughly equivalent to a 2070 Super. I’d get the 3060 Ti if I were you.
