I've bought a new monitor for Christmas, the Asus TUF vg27aql1a (1440p 144hz, 170hz oc) to replace my previous acer k22hql (1080p 60hz) and noticed some werid issues when playing SnowRunner. Whenever the framerate droppes below 60fps the game felt like it was stuttering or jittering or like it's suddenly 20 fps (and no, it's not screen tearing I've experienced it before and the new monitor has g-sync). I've tweaked some setting to always keep the game at above 60fps and forgot about the problem. I don't know if it was a problem before since I don't play any games that wouldn't run 1080p 60 with my 1080 ti. But now I bought Cyberpunk 2077 and of course it doesn't run 1440p 60 in more crowded areas without turning the settings to low. After tweaking all the settings in the game, nvidia control panel and the monitor's osd I haven't been able to identify the problem. And when I tuned the quality settings to run at 57-59 fps (without setting a limit) it still felt a lot worse than 60 even though it's barely below that. And when I turned on frametime monitoring in msi afterburner osd it turns out that when running avove 60fps the frametimes are what they should be (16.7 ms for 60fps and 10ms for 100fps) but below are all over the place. I've seen both 55fps 27ms (should be 18.2ms) and 45 fps 9ms. Can somebody help me fix the problem? I'm honestly fine with playing Cyberpunk at 30 fps but not when it feels like it's less than half that.

Edit: When I check the monitor's actual refresh rate it's always exactly the framerate or double that depending whether vsync is enabled or not.
