Xbox One wireless Controlller and bluetooth Win10 - DAFUQ :/

Stadiz

ahoy there matey!

To make this issue alot faster to troubleshoot, I clean-installed a new Windows 10 om my PC.

all drivers are working fine, even bluetooth because Ican connect my phone and tablet.
But this Xbox One  wireless Controlller will not be detected by Windows 10.
It only works with USB, and the firmware of this controller is also updated.

Here is my question, is a "Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10" now a mandatory device needed for these controllers?
Or is my controller just "bricked"

About a month ago it was working just fine. :/

Any input is welcome, excuse my typos.

that depends on the controller.

is it the original xbox one controller? or the slim one?  i call them the v1,v1.1, and v2 controllers
v1 - original xbox one controller without the 3.5mm jack
v1.1 - original xbox one controller with the 3.5mm jack
v2 - the new xbox one controller that shipped with the xbox one slim and onwards

only the v2 controllers can connect directly to bluetooth, while the v1 and v1.1 controllers only work WIRED or with the special dongle for it.

Easy way to tell if a controller supports Bluetooth (For PC and mobile use) : xboxone

i found this picture online, and i think this can be a helpful guide for you

There is no such thing as a bad PC, there are only BETTER PCs
