I am just starting off a new build so from the topic it should be clear what I seek. Before you paste a link of linus' video about aio vs air cooling I have one question, do AIO pumps suck (like do they fail often) cuz with aio you would have to replace the whole thing but with air cooling the only problem you can face is the fan failing.

kind of depends on the unit, but the Asetek based ones should all have similar life cycles as long as the manufacturer doesn't screw up filling the loop. There are some optimal rad placements relative to the block which can help with longevity and reduce nuisance noises, I'd watch Gamer's Nexus's video on the matter. Just don't get too broken up if you end up having to mount your rad sub-optimally, as long as it's not below the block you're good. While I do agree with you that air coolers are easier to maintain and notice when things are going wrong, there are some benefits to an AIO. The extra thermal mass of water acts as a buffer to temperature change, so for short workloads your processor should be cooler with an AIO which benefits AMD Ryzen processors with their temperature dependent boost table
