RGB Fans mods

I recently picked up a digital storm aventum 3 water cooling case for $200. It has 11 Corsair fans in it but there non led or rgb. the fans have the holes for the led so i know you can probably put  the led diodes in. Has anybody tried modifying a non rgb fan to be rgb? I know you would have to wire all the rgb together for each fan. I was thinking of using a couple hubs like this. I don't really want to go with rgb rings cuz they cost $13 each and that would be a lot of money for a case i paid $200 for
