PepperMint OS

Go to solution Solved by TorC,

@TrashGang-- Happy Holidays!

Were the instructions for downloading at peppermintos website followed?

Also, how was the ISO 'burned' to the USB stick?

Verifying the checksum (md5, sha256, etc) of the ISO prior to burning is recommended.

Getting it on a USB stick using Windows is another story.  Unetbootin has been proven to be inadequate.

EDIT:

I notice from a previous post of yours that you are attempting to run Linux on a Fujitsu Lifebook.  This will most likely be a problem.  Others have had big problems with those laptops installing Linux

I heard about PepperMint OS on web and decided to download it . I downloaded it, burned to a flash drive and when I booted from it it said me "Kernel is missing. Load it first "or smth like that. I have never did smth like this before so I don't know what to do. Who can help ?

AFAIK the AH models can run cloudready.  Other more 'advanced' models of Lifebooks should be able to run a lubuntu or peppermint, as well.  So peppermint, if it works, is a good choice.  As @Gorilla Warfaresays, the program Etcher is popular for installing an ISO on USB.

OR, YOU COULD dd IT
