Hi! I've been trying to play some Cyberpunk 2077 for the past few days on the new patch 1.05. When driving/walking around the city, I appear to be maxing out at around 60 FPS, regardless of my graphics settings or resolution. But CPU usage is consistently only around 40-45% and the load is not well distributed across the cores. When spinning the camera around I sometimes also get hard drops to 40-45 FPS.

When I lower the resolution from 1440p to 1080p, my GPU% drops from 95 to sub 50 but no extra frames. Same with DLSS. Reducing crowd density to medium or even low does not seem to help. Any ideas what's happening here? Just poor optimization or something else going on? Simple CPU bottleneck seems unlikely given low usage...

Rig:
R7 2700x
RTX 2080 super
16GB RAM 2666 MHz

Cyberpunk has weird problems with SMT on amd chips.  If you're open to it, there's a mod that has improved performance for me. We've got essentially the same system but I've got a 3700x

Thanks for the tip, will take a look!

I know there were some issues with Ryzen CPUs sub 8 cores (supposedly fixed with 1.05), but clearly the problems run deeper...

Out of curiosity, how much FPS do you get in the city if you're not GPU bound? Just to know what I should be expecting roughly...
