Hey everyone,

Quick background:

After my 3rd pump from Alphacool AIO died this year I decided that maybe a second pump and a reservoir is nesseary.

I am using the Alphacool Eisbär Aurora 360 AIO with its QuickConnect system and a GPU block from Alphacool as well.

I am using the QuickConnect system as well.

All replacement parts from the last dead pump, that also killed my GPU block(img attached) are here and I am only waiting for the reservoir.

Actual Question:

So I brought an additional Pump and reservoir. I have an CPU block, an GPU block, an tripple Radiator and the reservoir/pump combination.

What would be the "best" Setup for this?

I thought of a waterflow:

- CPU block (Pump A)

- GPU block

- reservoir (PumpB)

- Radiator

Is it a good idea to have the warm water in the reservoir or should it contain the water after if was chilled by the radiator?

Should I put both pumps in serial or should there the radiator in between?

For Info: what happens if a loop runs dry after 5 minutes of all out usage:

No need to sorry.

I just gave you my opinion and it's all entirely up to you whether you choose Alpha or something else.

Ahh another brand. :-).
Yea maybe but I choose to stick to one manufacturer so that something like that (See GPU image) the cannot windle themselfs out with "No that part X you used from another company is wrong because you used that it broke something" blablabla. And Alphacool with the QuickConnect system seem like a good choice for a water colling rookie like me 😄

You should cool the water before it goes into the reservoir.

Loop order dosnt matter at all for performance. Whatever works routing wise and preferably can trap some air.

This is extremely Alphacool just saying.

Those quick dissconect fittings cause quite a bit of resistance as I know it, I'd just build a proper loop after all this hassle. Seems like you would save yourself some money if your components keep sudokuing on you.  Maybe get some D5 pumps instead of whatever these are and make sure they are low down so they don't have the chance to go dry and make sure to really work the air out.

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
