Budget: 1000$ CAN

Hi, my friend recently asked me to build a iTX pc. He wants to use it for music production, gaming and editing. I need help to find the right CPU and GPU for this price point. I was wondering about the 3700x and the 1660. Do you think it is enough.

Can you make any suggestion?

I love my 1660 Ti graphics card. I use the MSI Ventus OC edition. For what it's worth, I haven't had a single performance issue with it yet, and it's very cheap for good a graphics card. I highly recommend it for a $1000 build.

phone out of service?

give us a call.

1000 CAD for a 3700X and 1660 Super (since the 1660 seems to be either horribly overpriced or out of stock) is pretty tight. You'd be looking at something more along these lines:

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC
