Any GPU will go with any CPU. The only issue is when one or the other is significantly more powerful, and that's when you might get bottlenecks. Because the vast majority of games are heavily GPU-bound these days, a 3600X should be able to handle everything up to and including a 3070. A 3080 is probably also fine, but that's pushing it a bit.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Ok, thanks. Would a RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 2070, RTX 2060 Super be good?

3600X should be enough cpu to run any AAA game at 60 fps but isn't a cpu I'd use if chasing 144 fps in AAA games. So basically the gpu you pick should come down to what resolution you want to play at and how much you want to overbuy in the name of having it last longer without you wanting to replace it. I'd only buy RTX series gpus because DLSS-2.0 will probably go a long way towards having your card age more gracefully and I wouldn't touch 2060 Super or 2070 Super as those are quite a bit weaker than 3060 Ti without any real price breaks. Used RTX 2070 Super that's 15% weaker than the RTX 3060 Ti going for $500 to $650? What a joke. Screw those cards.
