I have two kits of 32GB (2x16) from corsair. They both have the same product number and specs. If I look at the version number on the sticks, I looks like one pair is Samsung, and the other pair is Nanya. Is it alright to mix them? Could that cause any real life problems? It's for a workstation, and currently they are all running at 3200mhz cl16 (advertised speed and timings) with xmp on.

Thanks

the ram might be from two different places but im 98% sure that the actual guts of the ram is exactly the same. (asides for the fact that they have different silicon of course)

It's exactly the same but completely different then? That post makes no sense at all.

But yeah, it'll work. If the specs are identical it doesn't matter that the slicon is different.

So if I understand, the memory chips that "stores" the data is different (made by different manufacturers), and everything around that controls the chips it is the same?
