Linus Tech Merchandise

So I asked Linus earlier today on the twitters if he had thought about running an online store the same way Phillip Defranco runs his with a pre order system. Ie Linus would say "Hay guys like my shirt, head over Linus'storeurl and pre order it today." In his video, people go and order, once the goal is hit, ie 200, Linus then orders the shits and ships them. It dose mean if you order one early you might have to wait a bit longer for the goal to be reached, but it also means that they don't have to risk a bunch of money on shirts/stickers/posters people might not want to buy. Is this a stupid idea? Something worth trying?

I wonder if Linus would wear a shirt that depicts Linus wearing a shirt depicting Linus wearing a shirt? That would be impressive.
