Spent ten hours yesterday building my first rig, powered it up got to the post screen? It then told me to press delete to get to BIOS but it never would. The Orange Dimms light on the motherboard is lit. So I got different ram to try out, tried dual and single channel still nothing. I’ve got 5800 with Tuf 570 plus Wi-Fi, and was wondering if maybe it needs bios update to work?

Build list

5800x

Tuf 570x Plus Wi-Fi

Two different kinds of ram both DDR4 not near rig to see names at the moment

Western Digital 1TB M.2

I know it’s fixable but just feel hopeless and don’t know what to do.

Okay I’ve got a new flash drive 32G I just download newest patch on it and then what? If I can’t get to bios how do I tell the motherboard to take the update?

You can get a CPU loaner kit from AMD to update the BIOS using said CPU that is supported to install the newer BIOS and then swap CPUs to get up and running. If you bought your motherboard at a retailer such as Micro Center (don't know where you live), they can update the BIOS for you for either free or a small fee. Your motherboard does not have any sort of BIOS flash button on the back I/O or the PCB itself.
