Hello, I've had my laptop for around 4 years and while gaming I have noticed very low performance and I do not know what causes it. Apparently my battery health is dying but apart from that I'm not sure what is causing it

Pc specs: processor: amd A12 9700P base speed 2.5ghz and turbo speed 3.4ghz (It has never went that fast ever)  And the graphics card is an AMD Radeon r7 Graphics

For some reason when I check the temperature through programs it doesn't show the actual temperature I don't think as it just drops from 55 to 50 and then resets at 55. And I've never thought of opening my laptop ever for the past 4 years. I don't know why but yeah. I should probably do that.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have the A12-9700 as well, I updated to latest drivers and CHIPSET drivers from the amd site, you might have too back track  too 20.11 though, It helped alot. This notebook is also prone too be pushed with a 5400 rpm drive so thats probably your bottleneck. Use PerfectDisk on slower drives.
