Streamlabs OBS weird bitrate usage

WiredGG

My settings:
output: 1920x1080

FPS: 60
 Encoder settings:

 CBR
 30000 kb/s

 quality

Despite bitrate being 30000kb/s during streaming but it only uses betweeen 5000-8000 kb/s and the stream looks grainy
I have 1000/60Mbps internet consistently

Is something changing my settings or why isn't it utilizing the bandwidth?

Thanks

Are you streaming to twitch?

Twitch allows a MAX of 6000Kb/s, no matter what your resolution/framerate is set to.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

Yes...

Okay well that's sad

Thanks for the response

So is there any way to make it look better then?
I am already using the new nvenc encoder

Thanks

If you're using RTX 2000 series cards, check out this video:

Epos Vox is a wealth of knowledge on OBS and can help improve quality a lot.

Honestly though, my recommendation is dropping output resolution to 1600x900. 1080p just needs too much data for 6Mb/s to look good.

I am using a 3090, is the video still valid?

Thanks

Also, this is my first time posting here, and it's really nice. Fast, quick and accurate responses, while still being nice. Thanks

Yes! totally still valid for a 3090. If you really want to get as much info as possible, Vox also has a 1 hour video talking about all the different content creation aspects. It's chaptered really well so you can just skip to the parts you want if need be:

And welcome to the forum! There's a handful of us here that just lurk around and either know the answers to a lot of questions, or know where to look (or who to ask). We're glad to help when we can :D
