I9900k or 5600x for the same price

Hi guys, I am planning on upgrading soon, I currently own an i5 8600k and I recently purchased a 3070. I believe that my cpu is bottlenecking the 3070.

I am deciding whether to upgrade to an i9 9900k(300 usd) a 5600x(300 usd), My question is: is it worth buying the new motherboard for the ryzen cpu or should i stick to intel since i would just switch cpus.

also would a i7 9700k (200 usd) be a good option  .
