Using old m.2. Will I have a problem?

Go to solution Solved by Stahlmann,

If you have different platforms (switching from intel to amd) it can and likely will cause problems. A friend of mine recently switched out his 6600K to my old 3700X and has had crashes every now and then. After reinstalling windows the crashes were gone.

Hey so I plan on building a pc and using my old storage from my old pc. I have a 500gb Samsung m.2 that has the OS on it and a 1 tb HHD. When I build my new pc do I just need to put the m.2 in and it will go strait to windows like a normal pc or do I have to do something before that?

As far as you boot of the m.2 it should be fine.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
