This is a different kind of planning thread.

My new build is finally looking possible. I was able to secure a 5900x, now my objective is to get a GPU.

My old PC (specs in signature) is nothing fancy at all.

These days it will manage 1080p gaming for older titles and for newer titles the experience isn't enjoyable.

If you had an older box sitting around, what would you do with it?

Keep in mind, I already have Plex running off my current build and I do have a RaspberryPi 4 available.

So, would you re-purpose the build? Give it away? Give me some ideas.

Detailed Specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-UD3P

CPU: AMD FX-6300

RAM: 16gb DDR3 (I don't remember what brand I put in there...)

CPU: Nvidia GTX760

Potato Revamp

CPU: AMD 5900x || GPU: nVidia RTX 3080 || RAM: 32gb Trident Z Neo CL16 || Case: Fractal Torrent Compact || CPU Cooler: Scythe Fuma 2 || PSU: Corsair RM850 Gold || Storage: ADATA SX8200 Pro (1TB), 2x Samsung Evo 870 (2TB)

I build (or re-build) old(er) systems and give them away.

I find peace in cleaning up an old box (wiring, etc) and giving it new life.

Just my hobby I guess.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.
