Rtx 3080 overkill?

Is a rtx 3080  if/when I can get one, overkill for this build?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8Rfgz7

Should I go for a 3070 or 3060ti, if they are ever on the shelfs, instead?

The 3080 is not overkill and a word of advice don't get the NH d15 with the 5600x go for a u12s. :)

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Not overkill at all. The build is balanced very well. I'm also running a 5600X / 3080 combo and it's great 👍

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

first of all i want to point out that all your parts are well picked, they're all very qualitative.

i dont think a rtx 3080 is overkill, but if you will be gaming at 1080p you could save some money n get a less good gpu

The D15 is better than the u12s but for the 5600x the d15 would be complete and unnecessary overkill. Unless he is planning to overclock a decent amount a u12s will be more than enough.

When noise is a top concern, the D15 is better. Otherwise the U12S is more than enough.

The 4000d is a case with a good amount of airflow so I don't think that there will be too much of noise from the CPU fan but yes I agree.
