About a day ago I was playing games with some friends and noticed terrible frame rates and lag. I usually leave NZXT Cam running on my second monitor. When I checked it I noticed no load being put on my GPU when running any games. I’ve tried updating drivers and reinstalling but that did nothing. Checked Windows 10 for updates and nothing. As a last effort before posting I tried cutting all power and disconnecting my GPU for a minute then restarting still nothing. Any ideas what’s going on?

Specs

Intel Core I7-7700K

Asus strix Z270E

24 GB G.Skill 3200 RAM

MSI RTX 2060

I checked just to be sure that it’s hooked up to my GPU and on top of that my PC isn’t a new build. It was running fine till a few days ago.

Make sure you quote people so they get a notification that you replied.

Do you see the video card in device manager? Do you see the integrated one too?

First of, I have mixed feelings about NZXT stuff (software and rgb alike). Guessing from your frame rates you are playing the game on your cpu. Make sure to select the gpu next time or disable to onboard graphics entirely in bios.

Definitely running off my CPU at this point. The thing I don't understand is if I check the default display adapter in most games it will show my GPU. I really haven't changed any setting on my PC in months.
