Hi, I'm looking to put my pc in some total silent mode when I'm doing light work, I can set the case fans to 0 rpm when temperatures are low, but when I try to do the same on the CPU fan, I can only lower it to 40% on the BIOS. I have an Asus Tuf b550m-plus and a Be quiet! Pure Rock Black.

Some fans don't allow for 0 rpm operation also some motherboards don't allow for the cpu fan to run that low.

You can try using a different fan header. If you get an error at boot it ok. You can disable the error in bios.
