So i can sense that my current PC is not gonna go much longer, and I'm looking to buy a new PC.
These are my current specs;
Windows 10 Pro, version 1909 (x64-bit OS)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H
CPU: Intel i7-3770 @ 3.4Ghz
GPU: GTX 970 Strix
RAM: 2x 8gb Kingston DIMM 240-pin - 1600 MHz
PSU: Corsair tx850w

Very old stuff, was looking at used computers and I was offered this for 569 US dollars;

Intel i7-8700k
Asus Z370-P motherboard
Corsair RM550X PSU
256 SSD Samsung Evo
Be Quiet dark rock 4 cooler
Be Quet 140mm case cooler
Fractal case

Was thinking about buying this, and then adding 2x 8GB 3200mhz corsair vengeance
And then put my old gtx 970 strix into it - then focus on a GPU upgrade in the near future.

I play many different games, but more focused on performance / fps, rather than high quality 4k graphics ect...
I play CS:GO, Dota, Starcraft 2, Warzone / Cold War, Cyberpunk 2077 - I also stream / video recording / editing sometimes.

Would like to get some feedback, mostly in terms of how these parts will perform here in 2020 and going forward.
I know the price seems high for the parts, but I'm from Denmark and I really think PC parts in the EU is somewhat more expensive than in US.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

For 1080p that pc will be great for a majority of games, albeit Cyberpunk will definitely struggle. If you're sticking to more traditional esports and fps games, you won't have any issues with a 970, just keep in mind that an upgrade is definitely first on the to do list.

Also, to keep your options open, if able, get a higher wattage power supply, that way you won't be restricted when you eventually do upgrade.

You could get equivalent new components for less than that.

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($200.00)
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock 4 CPU Cooler  ($74.90 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($114.99 @ Adorama)
Storage: Kingston A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($25.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Phanteks Eclipse P300A Mesh ATX Mid Tower Case  ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply  ($79.98 @ Newegg)
Total: $545.85

That's probably worth $300 used

Nah Dude, Just don't go with these. Wait till Jan end if you can wait through Christmas. Ryzen 5 5600 will come, RTX 3060 non Ti will come. Go with a not so cheap SSD,  and the cabinet of your old PC and your Old SSD(so no need for new Windows). Use your 970 Strix for secondary display for streaming. The OLD PC you are buying wont do anything good through 2021, and would probably be destroyed by newer titles.

My problem is, I have a budget of maximum around 700 dollars. But PC Parts in Denmark is so much more expensive than the prices I see for you guys in NA. I don't think I'll be able to afford a newest generation Ryzen and even an RTX card. I just need a nice used complete PC, or buy a PC as i listed, which only is missing RAM and GPU.

So i tried picking every part here, on a website in Denmark, and the price I can get these parts for, is 650 dollars total. So these parts are a bit more expensive in Denmark... Still worth going for it?

I'm from India and Here it's similarly expensive. Fine, then good. Buy the prebuilt old pc. That'll do good. RAM will cost a 100 USD(including 20-25% vat you have) you'll have 669 USD as expenditure. If possible get 3600 MHz RAM as Z370 would go there. Later, save 50 Bucks a month and buy the RTX 3070(with VAT at 600 USD at EU) the next christmas.

For used components I usually go with the 10% off per generation rule, since it is 2 generations old I'd ask for 20% off of the new price.

Also you don't need exactly equivalent parts. You don't need a cpu cooler for the 3600, the stock one is fine. You still have your old storage that you can reuse. You can reuse your old powersupply. You can reuse your old case. Or you can get cheaper equivalents that will work fine, but just not as good as the parts they offered.

I actually have a friend with an 1080 ti atm, and he wants to upgrade to the RTX 30xx series - So i will def buy the 1080 ti cheap off him afterwards.
Will this card be good with the build I'm going with, atleast just for enjoying 1080p games, while streaming?

Mobo: Asus Z370-P

CPU: Intel i7-8700k
GPU: Currently GTX 970 Strix ---> Upgrading to 1080 ti within 4 months.

RAM: 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance (16GB total, 3600Mhz)
PSU: Corsair RM550X
Storage: 2x 256 SSD Samsung Evo + 500gb HDD
CPU Cooler: Be Quiet dark rock 4 cooler
Case Cooler: Be Quet 140mm case cooler
Case: Fractal case

well, to be fair, i already played Cyberpunk 2077 on the current pc i have, the specs i gave at the start... And I can play kinda pleasurably, So i can only imagine better performance than what i already have tbh...

My old tx850w power supply is from 2009 :P i can't possible imagine it can still go on, I think my PSU is whats giving me problem on my current system. That, or the RAM... they're 800mhz 8gb sticks >.<
