First pc build

lutzka

Budget (including currency): $1500~ CAD

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: OW

Other details:

Hi there, new to the whole pc building thing and just wanted some pointers on gpu choice. I play OverWatch 90% of the time and watch youtube the other 10%. Now that's out of the way this is the list of parts I have settled on:

CoolerMaster Q300L case

Asus tuf gaming B550M-plus

Ryzen 5 3600x

Noctua NH-L9a cpu cooler

G.skill flareX DDR4 3200 (2x8gb)

Samsung 970 evo M.2 1TB

Thermaltake toughpower gf1 850w 80+gold

That's the list of parts I've settled on give or take some fans and other doodads. My main question is should I run 1 gpu or 2? I really want to run 2 Msi Radeon RX580 Armor 8G OC in crossfire. It would leave about 2mm between the cards if the measurements online are correct, would that be enough for airflow? Or should i just stick to one card in such a form factor case. Any gpu related suggesting would be great, trying to stick with radeon. Thanks Eh!

*Note: This pc will be on the hardwood floor in a decent size room that is about 10-15°C

Crossfire is terrible now, so is SLI. Always use one GPU for gaming

Yep exactly that.

You would be better off getting a more powerful GPU rather than 2 worse ones.
Also get the 3600 instead of the 3600x.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
