Hi all, I'm having an issue with my computer's wifi connectivity. As I am making this post right now, I have unplugged my ethernet cable and have a wifi adapter to connect to my router. When I bring up the wifi settings, it says "No Internet, secured" under my wifi network. When I try joining the wifi network, it works perfectly fine (I see the icon change from no internet to the wifi bars) for a second before it drops back offline. I've also noticed that on my login page when I enter the password to access my desktop, there are full Wifi bars in the bottom right but as soon as I login, it goes back offline.

I am trying to perform a Windows Update but I get the message, "We couldn't check for updates, because you aren't connected to the Internet. Make sure you have a cellular data or Wi-Fi connection and try again." Even though I'm connected to the internet, my computer doesn't know that it is (?). Please help. I just got a second wifi adapter just to make sure it wasn't an issue with my previous one. I recently moved but never had this issue before. In both places, I used a Verizon Fios rental router.

did you ever install drivers for it or are you just using the one windows automatically uses?  try updating the drivers from the man

Yes, I downloaded the drivers for both adapters I've tried using. I just bought the second adapter today and downloaded the most updated driver there.
