Packet Loss

What is packet loss? I have been getting 5 percent packet loss on Fortnite but none on Apex Legends. And also in the morning I usually never get packet loss. Only at night. Is there anyway to fix this?

Packet loss is basically the data that doesn't make it from the server to your computer and has to be sent again. 5% packet loss isn't that bad. It's usually due to your ISP, but switching to a wired connection sometimes helps.
