Do you plan on using voice communication during gaming? Regardless of the answer, a quality desk microphone + good quality headphones suits both tasks.

The Blue Snowball is one of the cheapest options for a good quality desk microphone. A better option would be the Yeti, but it's also more expensive.

You don't need a mic AND a headset, get a good pair of headphones and a snowball mic.

The snowball will be used in-game as if it were a headset and you'll get great recordings for youtube.

You can find people's videos on the snowball and see how they sound using it. I think it's a great sound for the price.

Not sure if troll..
Well anyways!
Get a good pair of headphones (NOT A HEADSET)! Like maybe, Audio Technica ATH-M50, Sennheiser HD-something or Beyerdynamic DT 770/880/990 Pro/Non-pro.

Then you get a good microphone (NOT ON A HEADSET)! Blue snowbal and Audio Technica AT2020 (USB version) are both very good microphones.
