Friends windows won't boot up

My friends just built his PC and it boots into bios, once he exits out it says the drive isn't bootable and it won't let him install windows, he's tried multiple times and a different usb stick too

try reset the bios and see if that helps

also try a linux usb and see if that boots.

What exact option for the drive is he selecting? He should be picking the UEFI option for the drive.

so start with basics

 

make sure device is bootable, might be sound stupid but the disk has to be active with an MBR

ensure usb boot support is enabled

try a different usb port

 

hit f12 or boot menu hot key and select USB device. perhaps its try you hdd first
