I have a designer friend looking for a good laptop.

Needs to run:

  • Revit
  • AutoCad
  • Enscape VR

The first 2 programs do not need heavy graphics power but Enscape does. She was looking for something with a 2070 in it as that is the recommendations. I have found this https://www.newegg.com/space-gray-with-silver-diamond-cut-msi-p-series-p65-creator-253-gaming-entertainment/p/N82E16834155304?Item=9SIAMF7BZB2716&quicklink=true and it is within the $2500 budget, which is flexible. I did adviser her to wait for the 3000 series laptops to hit but who knows when those will be readily available.

Do you guys have any other suggestions?

if she is able to wait, please do so. lots of good laptop models are out of stock right now but once they come back, you will have lots of better options available to you. Laptops with AMD processors are significantly faster than intel models but the ones with good GPUs are out of stock.

Also, I would try and avoid MSI stuff. They are a really shady company. of you want proof, just watch this video
